TipsGG Study: 20 Academies Built Brazil’s 2026 World Cup Squad With Combined Market Value of €1.1 Billion

London, UK, June 9th, 2026, FinanceWire

TipsGG has published a study covering each of the 26 players in Brazil’s official 2026 World Cup squad and the youth academies where they developed. The data includes market value, international caps, and goals for the national team as of June 05, 2026. Each player is attributed to the club where they spent the most time during their youth career.

The 26 players came through 20 different academies. Flamengo is the only club to have developed three players in the squad – Vinícius Júnior (€150m), Lucas Paquetá, and Wesley – with a combined value of €222 million. Santos produced just one player in the squad – Neymar – yet he accounts for 79 of the 150 international goals scored collectively by all 26 players. Avaí FC from Florianópolis, a club that has spent much of recent years in the second division, developed Gabriel Magalhães (€75m, Arsenal) and Raphinha (€80m, Barcelona) – a combined €155 million from a single academy outside Brazil’s traditional top flight.

Anton Malyutin, CEO of Tips.GG: “The Avaí figure is worth noting. Two players now worth €155 million between them came through a club that has spent most of recent years in the second division. Brazil has far more talent than the handful of academies people typically focus on.”

19 of the 26 players are based abroad, mostly at European clubs. Seven remain in Brazil, among them Neymar, who has returned to Santos – the club where his career began. Among the lesser-known academies in the squad are Verê from the state of Paraná (Igor Thiago, €50m), PRS from Rio de Janeiro (Roger Ibañez), and Andirá (Weverton). Across the full squad, 13 of the 20 academies represented have no current presence in Brazil’s top division.
