KefiYo Launches Autumn Frozen Yoghurt Flavours Following Strong Leeds Opening

Leeds, UK, October 8th, 2026, FinanceWire

KefiYo has launched nine new autumn frozen yoghurt flavours at its Headingley café in Leeds, including tiramisu, apple pie and chocolate orange, as the new business looks to build on its strong summer opening. The Mediterranean-inspired café opened in Headingley, close to Leeds Beckett University’s sports campus, and has attracted customers from the area’s student population and local community.

The Mediterranean-inspired café says its colourful, customisable bowls have spread across social media since launch, helping turn the fledgling business into a local viral hit. Its founder has also appeared on BBC News, while the company says queues have regularly formed outside the store.

That is useful momentum for any new hospitality business. The next challenge is maintaining it once summer is over.

KefiYo is attempting to do exactly that with nine new autumn frozen yoghurt flavours, taking inspiration from desserts and ingredients more typically associated with colder months.

The new range includes tiramisu, caramelised banana, pomegranate, chocolate orange, Snickers, apple pie, butterscotch, chocolate, and rhubarb.

Rather than replacing its summer menu, the seasonal flavours will join seven existing options: mango, coconut, matcha, natural, passion fruit, strawberry, and mixed berry.

KefiYo co-founder Gagan Chera said in the company’s autumn launch announcement that the strong response to its original flavours convinced the team to expand rather than overhaul the range.

“We’ve had such a strong response to our original flavours that we didn’t want to simply replace them when autumn arrived,” she said.
“The idea was to take flavours people already know and love, like apple pie, tiramisu and chocolate orange, and see what they could be like as frozen yoghurt.”

Students have helped fuel KefiYo’s early growth

Location has played a significant role in KefiYo’s launch.

Its Headingley store sits next to Leeds Beckett University’s sports campus and close to Headingley Cricket Stadium and the Leeds rugby ground.

The company says students have become an important part of its customer base alongside families, sports fans, fitness communities, and other local residents.

The product itself is also built for customisation — and, inevitably, social media.

Customers choose their frozen yoghurt and can add unlimited standard toppings at no additional charge, while selected premium toppings and superfoods cost extra.

That means two visits do not necessarily produce the same bowl, giving customers an incentive to experiment with combinations and share the results online.

The company said in its launch announcement that customer creations have been appearing across social feeds since it opened.

KefiYo is trying to build more than a frozen yoghurt shop

KefiYo spent almost a year developing the business and refining its frozen yoghurt before opening, according to the company.

Since then, it has also been working to broaden the business beyond its core product.

Its menu includes açaí bowls, smoothies, speciality coffees, and matcha, while a different vegan frozen yogurt flavour rotates each week.

The company has also hosted Pilates pop-ups and local run clubs, combining its food offer with fitness and community events.

That strategy gives KefiYo several routes to attract customers beyond people simply looking for dessert — particularly in a student-heavy neighbourhood where food, fitness, and socialising frequently overlap.

The brand is also marking its official launch with a competition giving 10 people frozen yoghurt for a year, with winners receiving one medium frozen yoghurt every month for 12 months.

But the autumn launch may be the more significant test for the young business.

Frozen yoghurt is an obvious sell when Britain is warm. Persuading Leeds students to queue up for it as summer disappears is a different proposition.

With apple pie, tiramisu, chocolate orange, and six other new flavours on the menu, KefiYo is betting that changing what goes into the bowl can keep customers coming back long after the weather changes.
