JumboBee Launches International Used Heavy Equipment Marketplace to Reduce Supply Chain Friction

Miami, USA, June 11th, 2026, FinanceWire

JumboBee, an early-stage marketplace for used heavy and agricultural equipment, has officially announced its rollout aimed at resolving systemic transactional and supply chain challenges within the heavy machinery industry. Founded by CEO Maryana Serafinas, who also serves as the founder and CEO of Atlantic Project Cargo, the platform introduces targeted software solutions to eliminate hidden costs, operational delays, and cross-border compliance issues.

The concept for JumboBee originated following Serafinas’s analysis of industry vulnerabilities during a Disruptive Strategy course at Harvard Business School Online in December 2022. Drawing from experience at Atlantic Project Cargo—a freight company specializing in heavy equipment such as tractors, combines, excavators, bulldozers, and mining machinery—the platform was designed to bridge the operational gaps between heavy equipment trading and logistical execution.

Historically, buyers in the heavy machinery sector frequently face unexpected post-sale friction. Common industry challenges include unverified international listings, unforeseen domestic transport costs (such as unincluded equipment loading fees reaching upwards of $1,500), and prohibitive geographical distances from ports that can double initial deal estimates. Furthermore, compliance with strict phytosanitary rules and country-specific import certifications often leads to agricultural machinery being detained at customs, resulting in costly storage fees or abandoned transactions.

To mitigate these supply chain risks, JumboBee has built an end-to-end transactional platform that implements the following core features:

  • Mandatory Verification: All buyers and sellers must undergo verification before listing or negotiating. Buyers are screened against international sanctions lists prior to closing any transaction.
  • Instant Logistics Costing: The platform calculates immediate, door-to-port ocean rates and door-to-door domestic shipping estimates directly on the listing, replacing traditional multi-day quote processes.
  • Transparent Pricing: The system displays the final purchase price alongside automated shipping calculations to eliminate hidden fees at checkout.
  • Centralized Negotiation and Communication: A unified communication hub integrates the buyer, seller, marketplace, and freight coordinator into a single negotiation stream supporting offer management and direct chat.
  • Early Regulatory Flagging: The platform identifies country-specific import mandates, phytosanitary requirements, and loading logistical constraints before a buyer commits to a transaction.

As part of its ongoing development, JumboBee is actively integrating artificial intelligence to streamline data handling and optimize marketplace efficiency.

"The rapid evolution of LLMs opens up enormous potential for the heavy equipment space," said Dmitry Bashkirov, Head of Product at JumboBee. "We’re already leveraging them to improve product data quality — making sure a Caterpillar 320 listed five different ways becomes one searchable, accurate entry. The better the listing data, the more visible a seller’s equipment becomes, and the easier it is for the right buyer to find it."

Currently in its early-stage rollout, JumboBee is onboarding international buyers and sellers. While the system provides automated ocean and domestic transit pricing, the platform’s centralized interface is designed to surface critical considerations—such as destination customs clearance, Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) arrangements, and specialized paperwork—prior to closing a sale.
