PRESS RELEASE
EURAZEO TO ACQUIRE MIYA WATER, A GLOBAL SPECIALIST IN EFFICIENT WATER MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS
Paris, 7 October 2026
Eurazeo, through its Eurazeo Planetary Boundaries Fund (EPBF), has entered into an agreement to acquire a majority stake in MIYA Water (Miya), a world leading company in water efficiency and Non-Revenue Water (NRW) reduction. NRW can be defined as water that is produced but lost before reaching customers, through leaks, theft or metering errors.
Miya’s founders – along with the management team – will continue to drive the company strategically and will remain a significant co-investor alongside EPBF. Miya marks EPBF’s fourth investment. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary formalities.
Miya provides solutions that help water utilities drastically reduce NRW and optimize resource management, delivering measurable operational and financial benefits. With over 200 projects implemented across 5 continents since its inception in 2007, the company has demonstrated its technical expertise and know-how in geographical regions as diverse as Europe, the Middle East, North and South America, the Caribbean, Africa, South-East Asia and the South Pacific islands.
Each year, NRW is estimated to amount annually to 126bn m3, enough to meet the annual water needs of hundreds of millions of people. Such inefficiency represents a significant waste of resources and a major economic challenge for water utilities worldwide. The global market for solutions aimed at reducing NRW is estimated at approximately €50 billion annually, providing substantial growth opportunities for companies such as Miya.
Eurazeo will support Miya’s growth through a proactive asset management strategy focused on strengthening the company and its performance, enhancing the organization and pursuing selective M&A in a fragmented market. The EPBF team also intends to accompany Miya in its international expansion in new markets.
This investment reflects Eurazeo’s impact buyout strategy of backing European leaders with global ambitions that deliver tangible solutions to critical environmental challenges. Water is emerging as one of the most important infrastructure and environmental investment themes of the coming decades, driven by ageing networks, increasing pressure on resources, and the growing impact of climate change. By helping utilities improve network efficiency and reduce water losses, Miya contributes directly to the resilience and sustainability of essential infrastructure, while addressing a structural need that is expected to attract significant long-term investment.
This investment directly contributes to three Planetary Boundaries and therefore strongly aligns with EPBF's investment strategy: 1. Freshwater Change, as the company limits the abstraction, treatment and pumping of water; 2. Pollution, by diverting organic pollution from rivers to wastewater treatment systems and 3. Climate Change, thanks to the avoided GHG emissions as water is no longer abstracted, treated or pumped, avoiding its embedded energy.

PRESS RELEASE
Erwann Le Ligné and Wilfried Piskula, Managing Partners – Co-Heads – EPBF, declared:
“We are delighted to partner with Noam Komy, Guy Yasur and the entire Miya team, whom we identified and approached proactively from the very inception of the Fund. They have built a global pure-play leader in NRW, combining technological excellence, a pioneering performance-based business model and a proven ability to deliver measurable impact for customers worldwide. This fourth investment in 18 months embodies our ambition to back environmental solution champions addressing some of the most pressing planetary challenges. Following our investments in biocontrol, geothermal energy and circular IT, our entry into water further illustrates the breadth of our environmental solutions strategy. We believe that water efficiency will become one of the defining infrastructure challenges of the coming decades, and that Miya is uniquely positioned to shape the future of the sector on a global scale.“
Noam Komy, Executive Chairman of Miya, added:
“We are very pleased to be joining forces with Eurazeo. We share the conviction that the next stage of Miya’s development is not simply about becoming larger, but about building a broader international water services platform around the expertise that has made Miya a category leader. Our work has already improved the performance of utilities and the lives of millions of people. With Eurazeo, we have a partner who shares our ambition to extend that impact through disciplined organic growth and selective acquisitions.”
