Enrique Velázquez Announces New Book, The Bent Key Principle
Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, July 2nd, 2026, FinanceWire
Enrique Velázquez, a municipal government leader, TEDxDuluth speaker, and author, has announced a forthcoming book, The Bent Key Principle: What Happens When Leaders Put People First, building on the message of his TEDxDuluth talk, What happens when leaders put people first. The announcement follows his recent recognition in Winston News Wire's Digital Journal feature, "12 Amazing Speakers and Thought Leaders to Follow in 2026, Including Simon Sinek."
In the TEDxDuluth talk, Velázquez argues that leaders should put people before profit, property, performance, and public image, and that stronger outcomes grow from cultures of trust, dignity, and belonging. His forthcoming book expands that message through the Bent Key Principle, a framework for understanding how human worth and possibility are shaped by leadership and systems.
"For too many people, the loudest voice in the room is the one that whispers, 'You don't belong here,'" said Enrique Velázquez. "My work is about helping leaders build cultures where that voice loses its power, where people are seen, served, and empowered as human beings first, not treated as interchangeable parts of a machine."
Drawing on more than two decades of experience across high-tech and public service, including municipal leadership, Velázquez offers a practical people-first model that challenges command-and-control thinking and calls leaders to create systems where people and performance can thrive together.
