Digital Interview AI Launches AI Interview Debrief to Give Job Seekers Feedback on Real Interviews

NEW YORK, USA, November 3rd, 2026, FinanceWire

The new feature lets candidates upload recordings of their actual job interviews and receive personalized AI analysis of their performance, strengths and areas to improve.

Digital Interview AI, the AI-powered interview performance platform founded by Manny Castro, has launched AI Interview Debrief, a new feature that allows candidates to upload recordings of real job interviews and receive personalized feedback on their performance. The launch targets one of the most common frustrations in job hunting, finishing an interview and never finding out what went right or wrong.

AI Interview Debrief joins the company’s existing AI Interview Prep tool, creating what Digital Interview AI calls the Interview Performance Loop, a cycle of practicing before an interview and learning from it afterward. With the launch, Digital Interview AI is positioning itself as a leader in AI-powered interview preparation and performance analysis, bringing realistic practice and the analysis of real interviews together in one platform.

The Feedback Gap

For many job seekers, the interview ends and the learning stops. Talent Board’s 2022 candidate experience research found that 57 percent of North American candidates received no feedback at all after being rejected at the screening and interviewing stage. Among those who did receive feedback, only 37 percent said it was useful. A separate survey by hiring software company Greenhouse found that 67 percent of job seekers had been ghosted after an interview, never hearing from the employer again.

The result is that candidates can go through interview after interview repeating the same mistakes, with no clear way to identify them. Employers evaluate every conversation, but most candidates never get to see that evaluation or analyze their own performance in a structured way.

“Candidates can spend weeks preparing for an interview, only to receive a generic rejection or no feedback at all,” said Manny Castro, founder of Digital Interview AI. “We believe every interview should be an opportunity to learn. AI Interview Debrief gives candidates a way to understand their performance and prepare more effectively for the next opportunity.”

How AI Interview Debrief Works

Candidates upload an audio or video recording of an interview, including recordings from Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex or a phone. The platform transcribes the conversation and produces a debrief report that analyzes communication, answer quality and confidence.

The report covers areas such as clarity and articulation, confidence and presence, and how well answers follow the widely used STAR structure for behavioral questions, which covers the situation, task, action and result. It also looks at practical details that are hard to judge in the moment, including speaking pace, filler words, pausing and tone. Each debrief identifies strengths and areas for improvement, then turns them into a personalized action plan, such as quantifying results more clearly or ending answers with a stronger close.

Because candidates can upload multiple interviews over time, they can also compare reports and track whether their performance is improving. Digital Interview AI says recordings are encrypted and automatically deleted after processing.

Practice Before, Learn After

Through AI Interview Prep, Digital Interview AI is designed to deliver one of the closest experiences to a real conversational video interview. Its highly realistic AI interviewer personas listen, respond naturally, adapt to candidates’ answers and ask relevant follow-up questions, creating a more immersive experience than traditional interview preparation tools. Combined with AI Interview Debrief, the platform helps candidates prepare through realistic practice and learn from their actual interview performance afterward.

Users can upload a resume or paste a job description to tailor the session, choose from entry-level, mid-level or senior difficulty, and select from 10 AI interviewer personas, such as a hiring manager, internal recruiter or technical lead. Sessions run for 10 minutes, are available in twelve languages and end with a scored breakdown of performance and personalized coaching.

Together, the two tools are designed for students and recent graduates, professionals between roles, people preparing for promotions and career switchers. Practice builds confidence before the interview, and the debrief turns each real interview into a lesson for the next one.

With AI Interview Debrief, Digital Interview AI aims to help candidates close the feedback gap themselves, so that every interview, whether or not it leads to an offer, can make them better prepared for the next opportunity. The platform is available on the web, iOS and Android, with a free plan to get started at digitalinterview.ai.
