DailyColours Launches Mediterranean Polyphenol Supplement Following Trials at Two UK Universities
London, United Kingdom, October 12th, 2026, FinanceWire
The British brand has launched a daily supplement that combines extracts from 16 Mediterranean fruits, vegetables, and herbs, following four years of research and two human trials conducted at King's College London and the University of Exeter.
DailyColours, a new British supplement brand, has launched a Mediterranean polyphenol supplement built on four years of clinical research, including two human trials conducted at King's College London and the University of Exeter. The product delivers more than 160 colour phytonutrients drawn from extracts of 16 Mediterranean fruits, vegetables and herbs, spanning four plant colour groups: red, blue-purple, green and orange-yellow.
The supplement targets healthy ageing, and the company claims its multi-plant nutrient formula sets it apart from the wider market's pursuit of single-molecule longevity compounds. DailyColours says its research shows many health benefits of the Mediterranean diet come from nutrients in the colours of its fruits, vegetables and herbs. The Mediterranean diet is a pattern of eating linked in published research to reduced mortality and slower cognitive decline.
Most adults consume a narrow range of polyphenols, with average UK intake near 800mg daily, much of it from coffee and tea. That intake tends to fall with age, when the gastrointestinal system absorbs plant nutrients less efficiently.
The clinical programme included an early pilot at King's College London and a larger placebo-controlled study at the University of Exeter involving 150 adults aged 50 and over. Participants recorded significant improvements in cognitive performance and physical fitness, while blood analysis showed changes in immune pathways and inflammation markers comparable to those seen in populations following the Mediterranean diet over time.
The trial summary concluded that "DailyColours supplementation mimics many of the Mediterranean Diet effects."
Multiple international patents have been granted to the company, recording what the research describes as the biochemical basis for the health benefits of the Mediterranean diet, an outcome the company notes is uncommon for a natural supplement. The findings were presented during 2025 at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference in Toronto, the International Congress of Nutrition in Paris, and the Phytochemicals and Health Symposium in Exeter.
Colin Rose, a DailyColours spokesperson, said the brand was built to help support health span rather than just lifespan. "There are an increasing number of magic-bullet compounds aimed at increasing lifespan on the market. DailyColours is focused on health-span through an all-natural supplement that is easy to understand and based on decades of scientific proof," he said.
The supplement is sold online only. DailyColours also works with the National Centre for Integrative Medicine.
