Chef Justin Summersgill Grows Wolfpac, a Brisbane Business Community Built on Networking Done Differently
BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, November 1st, 2026, FinanceWire
After more than 20 years in hospitality, the founder of Wolfpac International is helping business owners, entrepreneurs and creatives build real relationships through dinners, events and introductions.
Chef and entrepreneur Justin Summersgill is growing Wolfpac International, the Brisbane business community he launched just before Easter this year. Wolfpac helps business owners, entrepreneurs and creatives build meaningful relationships through social events, business introductions, online networking and brand partnerships, an approach it describes as networking done differently.
The community is built around dinners, networking events and shared experiences rather than traditional pitching, with weekly events and a private online community that keep members connected between gatherings.
Built on Relationships, Not Transactions
The idea behind Wolfpac comes from Summersgill’s own career. Over more than 20 years in hospitality, including around 14 as a private chef, he found that almost every meaningful opportunity came through genuine relationships rather than transactional networking, as he told Dynamic Business.
That experience shaped a very different kind of networking club. Many business owners know the format of traditional networking events, with name tags, quick pitches and a pile of business cards that rarely leads anywhere. Wolfpac sets out to replace that with something closer to a good night out, where connection comes naturally because people are sharing a table, a conversation or an experience.
The community’s calendar reflects that. Recent events have ranged from dinners to a karaoke night in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, each designed around great food, genuine connection and an atmosphere where people actually want to stay and talk.

Making the Value Tangible
For Summersgill, the social side is only half of the picture. The other half is what members gain from being in the room. Wolfpac’s aim is to make that value tangible, through genuine relationships, business introductions and opportunities to win work.
Members are introduced to other business owners, founders and operators whose skills, services or customers fit their own. Over time, those introductions can turn into referrals, collaborations and new clients. For brands, Wolfpac also offers partnership opportunities, giving them a way to reach an engaged community of local business owners in a natural, relationship-led setting rather than through cold advertising.
Summersgill sums up his own journey in a few lines he has shared publicly. “Cooking taught me discipline. Running a chef platform taught me systems. Losing it all taught me resilience. Building Wolfpac taught me leverage.”
That last word captures the idea at the heart of the community. In his view, success in business is less about working harder alone and more about being in rooms with the right people, operators, founders and others who are actively building something.
A Founder Who Rebuilt From the Ground Up
Summersgill’s path to Wolfpac was not a straight line. After a previous business did not work out, he moved to Brisbane and rebuilt, arriving in a city where he had relatively few connections. Rather than hide that chapter, he has spoken openly about it, and about how it changed the way he builds businesses today.
That experience is part of why Wolfpac focuses so heavily on connection. Summersgill knows first-hand how much easier it is to grow when you have the right people around you, and he has built the community so that newcomers to the city, and to business, can find those people faster.
Alongside Wolfpac, he is also behind The Cheesecake Man, reflecting a career that has always combined food, hospitality and bringing people together. A video introducing Wolfpac and its approach is available on YouTube.

As Wolfpac continues to grow, Summersgill’s goal is to reach business owners beyond his existing network and show them why the community is worth their time.
