Zentiva Releases 2025 Sustainability Report Highlighting Environmental and Social Progress

Zentiva, a prominent European pharmaceutical company, has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, showcasing significant achievements in environmental and social responsibility. The report details a 10% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions alongside increases in net sales and EBITDA.

The Science Based Targets initiative has validated Zentiva's ambitious goals, including a 63% reduction in emissions by 2034 and achieving net-zero by 2050. Key accomplishments for 2025 include utilizing 83% renewable electricity, doubling water recycling efforts since 2021, and repurposing 47% of waste.

Zentiva's efforts earned them a Gold medal from EcoVadis, placing them in the industry's top 2%, and a Transparency Award from the EUPD Group. CEO Steffen Saltofte underlined the company's dual commitment to public health and environmental sustainability, stressing the importance of affordability and accessibility of medicines.
