Zentek's Albany Graphite Corp. Secures $500,000 Grant for Graphite Project

Zentek Ltd. announced that its subsidiary, Albany Graphite Corp. (AGC), received a $500,000 grant from Ontario's Critical Minerals Innovation Fund. The grant supports AGC's graphite purification and anode material development project.

AGC will collaborate with five North American firms and Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), which provides $200,000 in support. The project focuses on producing high-purity graphite for lithium-ion batteries and nuclear uses. AGC achieved a five-nines purity from their graphite, highlighting potential in energy storage and clean energy markets.

The project's next phase includes purification scale-up testing, aiming to increase the production of ultra-high purity graphite for evaluation by original equipment manufacturers and end-users.
