Qatar's Years of Culture Initiative Reveals 2026 and 2027 Partners

Qatar's Years of Culture initiative has announced its new cultural partnership plans. Set for 2026, the initiative will partner with Canada and Mexico, while 2027 will see collaborations with Egypt and Greece. The programme, launched in 2012, aims to foster global cultural exchanges and strengthen international ties through various collaborative events and projects.

Chairperson Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani highlighted the initiative's origins as a legacy project from the FIFA World Cup 2022. The upcoming year will see Qatar partner with Canada and Mexico, aligning with the FIFA World Cup 26™, co-hosted by these nations.

In 2027, Qatar will focus on Egypt and Greece, celebrating their historical cultural contributions. Each partnership includes diverse programming, creating lasting relationships and cultural legacies.
