Xilam Films launches production of the animated film The Wolf

Xilam Films begins production of the animated film The Wolf, a psychological thriller based on the graphic novel by Jean-Marc Rochette, scheduled for April 2027. This project is being carried out in partnership with Bidibul Productions, Goodfellas, ARP, and Crunchyroll, and will feature the voices of Roschdy Zem and Virginie Efira.

The film uses 3D animation techniques combined with traditional drawing for a painterly effect. Produced by Marc du Pontavice, The Wolf will be distributed by ARP in France and sold internationally by Goodfellas. Crunchyroll holds the largest global SVOD window, excluding China and Japan.

This thriller retraces the story of Gaspard, an isolated shepherd in the Alps, confronted by a menacing wolf, and explores a personal vendetta mixing deep emotions and a quest for redemption.
