W&W Group Reports Strong First Half for 2025
Wüstenrot & Württembergische Group (W&W) announced impressive growth in the first half of 2025. Consolidated earnings rose to €91 million, reflecting a stark increase compared to a loss of €14 million in the same period last year. The significant boost is partly attributed to decreased storm damage this year, which had previously impacted earnings under IFRS.
The group saw remarkable growth in various sectors, with new construction financing up by 27.6% to €2.8 billion. Building savings contracts increased by 1.2% to €5.7 billion. Moreover, gross premiums in property and personal accident insurance rose by 5.3% to reach €1.9 billion. The gross combined ratio achieved a record low of 83.8%.
Life insurance premiums expanded by 5.1% and health insurance by 6%, underscoring the group's robust performance. This growth indicates strong customer trust, fostered by innovative products and enhanced customer service combining digital solutions with personal advisory.
