Worldline sells its Indian payment business to BillDesk

Worldline, a leading European payment services provider, has finalized the sale of its Indian payment business to BillDesk for approximately €60 million. This transfer includes a long-term technology agreement, enabling BillDesk to utilize Worldline's advanced payment software. This partnership supports business continuity and strengthens the local positioning of the payment operations in India.

Worldline remains committed to India, using its Global Competence Centres to integrate innovation, automation, and AI into its operations as part of its North Star transformation plan. The group will leverage these centres to support its business in Western Europe.

The transaction is part of a series of divestments generating estimated net proceeds of between €590 million and €640 million. These funds are intended to strengthen Worldline's financial profile and support its strategic redeployment towards its core businesses.
