Worldline: Rating downgrade by S&P Global Ratings
Worldline, a global player in payment services, has suffered a credit rating downgrade by S&P Global Ratings. Its long-term rating has been downgraded from BBB- to BB and short-term ratings from A-3 to B. Despite this, Worldline emphasizes that there is no impact on the maturity of its current financing or its marginal cost. The group states that its refinancing needs for 2025/2026 are already covered.
S&P maintains a positive view on the group's liquidity, rating it as "exceptional." Worldline's market dynamics, supported by geographic diversification and a broad product range, reinforce its unique position, according to the agency. A detailed strategy to optimize Worldline's growth potential will be unveiled at the Capital Markets Day in November 2025.
