Wolfden Resources Targets Precious Metals at Canoe Landing
Wolfden Resources Corp. has embarked on metallurgical studies at its Canoe Landing deposit in New Brunswick. This site, a massive sulphide deposit, holds significant potential for precious metals, notably gold and silver. The deposit, originally discovered by Rio Tinto in the 1960s, is one of the largest undeveloped polymetallic mineral deposits in the Bathurst mining camp.
The company is collaborating with the Research and Productivity Council of New Brunswick to enhance metal recoveries through a phased metallurgical approach, employing advanced methods like bio-oxidation. This technique might significantly improve gold and silver recovery rates, utilizing natural microorganisms.
CEO Ron Little expressed optimism about the project's economic potential, given the increase in metal prices and the site's proximity to existing infrastructure.
