Western Alaska Minerals Identifies Gallium in High-Grade Zinc Concentrates

Western Alaska Minerals Corp has reported significant gallium concentrations in zinc concentrates at its Waterpump Creek site. Recent tests showed gallium levels between 63.8 and 116 ppm in zinc concentrates grading 53 to 58% zinc. This development is notable as gallium is the top critical mineral in the U.S., given its supply risk.

Waterpump Creek's Inferred Resource includes 2.38 million tonnes of high-grade mineralization with zinc, silver, and lead. Gallium resides within the zinc mineral sphalerite, as confirmed by analyses. Notably, this marks Western Alaska Minerals' first report of gallium findings, showcasing the potential for significant production and domestic supply opportunities.

Further metallurgical testing is on the agenda to evaluate gallium deportment, with results to be published subsequently. This initiative aligns with potential fast-track permitting incentives and reflects WAM's commitment to enhancing its resource base and tapping into critical minerals essential for technology and defense.
