Waga Energy Strengthens Board for Global Expansion
Waga Energy, a leader in Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) production, announced the appointment of three new experienced directors and an observer to its Board. Luc Rémont, former EDF CEO, joins as Chairman, alongside Neil H. Smith and Maï de La Rochefordière. Vikram Dhawan joins as an observer. These changes align with Waga’s aim to boost its international presence.
The board restructuring follows the acquisition of 85.88% of Waga’s shares by EQT, an international investment firm. The updated board now includes 10 members and two observers, featuring industry veterans to guide Waga Energy's expansion endeavors.
Mathieu Lefebvre, CEO, expressed enthusiasm for the new board's expertise in driving the company’s growth and enhancing its environmental contributions. The departures of Dominique Gruson, Sara Huda, and Girish Sankar were also acknowledged with gratitude for their service.
