Strengthening of Waga Energy's Board of Directors for its international expansion
On January 29, 2026, Waga Energy announced a major restructuring of its Board of Directors to support its international development. Luc Rémont, former Chairman and CEO of EDF, was appointed Chairman of the Board. Neil H. Smith and Maï de La Rochefordière joined the Board as directors, while Vikram Dhawan was appointed as an observer.
The acquisition of 85.88% of Waga Energy's capital by the EQT fund led to these strategic changes. Waga Energy's board now comprises 10 members and 2 auditors, including co-founders Mathieu Lefebvre and Guénaël Prince.
This reorganization aims to accelerate the company's growth in the biomethane sector, with the contribution of renowned experts in finance, energy and international business, in order to strengthen Waga Energy's environmental impact.
