VoxNexus AI Launches On-Device Voice AI for Android
On October 23, 2026, VoxNexus launched VoxEdge, a voice stack for Android that performs speech recognition, translation, and synthesis entirely offline. This solution supports 36 languages for speech recognition, 103 for translation, and 45 for speech synthesis, offering cost-effective functionality without cloud connectivity.
The company also introduced VoxSense, an ambient listening solution that operates for 12 hours on just 2.49% of a phone's battery without uploading audio to the cloud. This marks a significant step in AI technology for under-resourced languages, making it both accessible and energy-efficient.
These innovations were showcased at the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 launch in Madrid, highlighting their potential impact in regions like Africa, where data costs and dialect variations challenge traditional AI deployments.
