Viromed Medical AG Moves to Acquire Relyon Plasma GmbH

Viromed Medical AG, a trailblazer in cold plasma technology, has announced its intent to acquire relyon plasma GmbH. Based in Regensburg, relyon plasma, a subsidiary of TDK Electronics AG, is a prominent player in atmospheric plasma technology. This acquisition is seen as a strategic move to form an integrated platform for cold plasma technology.

This move allows Viromed to consolidate relyon's patent portfolio, development capabilities, and manufacturing capacity, enabling efficient scaling. CEO Uwe Perbandt highlighted that this integration aims to strengthen Viromed’s market position and facilitate international expansion. The transaction enhances control over crucial stages of the value chain and promises reduced dependence on external services.

The financial aspects of the deal are under negotiation, with completion anticipated in the second quarter of 2026, contingent on due diligence and standard closing conditions.
