VINCI Acquires Nine Highway Concessions in India
VINCI Highways, a subsidiary of VINCI Concessions, has entered into an agreement with Macquarie Asset Management to acquire nine highway concessions in India. This acquisition involves the Safeway Concessions portfolio, covering nearly 700 kilometers across the states of Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat. These routes are vital, connecting industrial, agricultural, and logistics hubs in India.
The transaction, valued at an Enterprise Value of approximately 150 billion Indian rupees, is in line with VINCI's strategy to invest in mobility infrastructure. The company sees significant opportunities for financial and operational optimization within the portfolio, including enhancements in road safety and digital toll operations.
Subject to regulatory approvals, the financial closure of this deal is anticipated by the end of 2026. This acquisition marks VINCI's strategic investment in India's rapidly expanding highway network.
