Vietnam Airlines Expands European Market with New Amsterdam Route

Vietnam Airlines has announced its entry into the Dutch market with a new nonstop route between Hanoi and Amsterdam. Starting June 16, 2026, the airline will offer three weekly round-trip flights using Airbus A350 aircraft. This marks the first direct link between Vietnam and the Netherlands, significantly reducing travel time and establishing Amsterdam as a key gateway for European passengers heading to Southeast Asia.

The launch event at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport showcased the strategic importance of this new route. It attracted key European travel partners and emphasized Vietnam's rising status as a prime destination. The flights will provide convenient connections from Hanoi to various popular Vietnamese locations and broader regional networks.

Nguyen Quang Trung, Executive Vice President of Vietnam Airlines, highlighted Europe’s significance in the airline's growth strategy. The new service aims to strengthen ties with regional tourism partners, fostering trade, cultural exchange, and tourism. With Amsterdam added to its network, Vietnam Airlines now connects Vietnam to eight major European cities, including Paris and London.
