Veolia Raises €2.5 Billion in Record Bond Issuance
Veolia has successfully raised €2.5 billion through a record bond issuance across three new tranches. The issuance includes a 5-year bond for €950 million at a 3.209% coupon, an 8-year bond for €900 million at 3.639%, and a 12-year bond for €650 million at 4.052%. This strategic move capitalized on the reopening of European markets, benefiting from favorable conditions.
The bond placement attracted more than 570 orders, totaling €10.5 billion, demonstrating high demand. This allowed the issuance to be executed with new issue concessions ranging from -2 to 5 basis points compared to the secondary market.
Emmanuelle Menning, Deputy Veolia CEO Finance and Purchasing, highlighted the bond issuance as a confirmation of the favorable market conditions for the Group and acknowledged the strong investor confidence in Veolia’s strategic position and future growth.
