Veolia Unveils Breakthrough PFAS Destruction Technology

Veolia has announced a significant advancement with its patented Drop® technology, designed to destroy up to 99.9999% of specific PFAS compounds. PFAS, often referred to as "forever chemicals," are notably challenging to eliminate due to their durable carbon-fluorine bonds. The innovation results from extensive research aimed at addressing the complex environmental and health issues posed by these substances.

This technology, now being deployed across Veolia's 20 European incineration facilities in countries such as France and Germany, utilizes high-temperature incineration to tackle these pollutants effectively. Additionally, the process reduces corrosion and fouling issues, preserving the integrity of industrial machinery.
