Veolia and Amazon join forces to reuse wastewater in data centers
Veolia, a global environmental specialist, is collaborating with Amazon to reduce water consumption in its data centers. This partnership aims to transform treated wastewater into a cooling resource for Amazon's facilities in Mississippi.
The first facility, scheduled for 2027, will use recycled water, representing a saving of 314 million liters of drinking water per year. This initiative is part of Veolia's GreenUp program and Amazon's goal of achieving a positive environmental footprint by 2030.
By integrating Amazon's artificial intelligence, Veolia optimizes water treatment, enabling more efficient and sustainable management of global resources. This collaboration supports an eco-responsible approach on a global scale.
