Vaudoise Insurance Takes Measures in Response to Hail Damage
On August 28, 2026, hailstorms struck Aarau, Olten, Solothurn, and Zurich. These storms caused significant damage to vehicles. True to its values, Vaudoise Assurances responded with a mobile assessment unit. More than 650 damaged vehicles have already been reported, and over 2,000 claims are expected, with an estimated cost of CHF 10 million.
Mobile expert units aim to facilitate the quick and simple processing of claims. Gérard Nerny, head of the auto claims department, emphasizes the importance of close customer relationships for effective management.
Policyholders are encouraged to report their damages via their agency or the vaudoise.ch website, where they can make an appointment for an assessment of their vehicle.
