Vaudoise Insurance Unveils Renovated Headquarters “Le Cèdre”
On April 28, 2026, Vaudoise Insurance inaugurated "Le Cèdre," its renovated headquarters in Lausanne. Originally designed by architect Jean Tschumi in 1956, the building is a notable example of Swiss modern architecture, merging functionality and artistic expression. The recent renovation aims to preserve this legacy while addressing modern needs.
The project, titled "Un moment charnière" by Itten+Brechbühl SA, was chosen for its respect for heritage and alignment with contemporary work practices. Interior redesigns, like replacing walls with glass partitions, enhance natural light and space functionality, reflecting the Worksmart@Vaudoise concept.
Swiss architecture firm CCHE led the interior design, drawing inspiration from Tschumi’s original color palette to create distinct, mood-setting environments. The renovation emphasizes sustainability, seeking WELL Gold certification to ensure a comfortable, efficient workspace.
