Vaderis Therapeutics Secures $152 Million in Series B Financing
Vaderis Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company based in Basel, Switzerland, announced the completion of an oversubscribed $152 million Series B financing. The funds will support the global Phase 3 HEROIC study of engasertib, targeting hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT), a rare vascular disorder. This round was co-led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives and TCGX, with participation from funds like Omega and EQT Life Sciences. Existing investors Medicxi and Droia also participated.
The HEROIC study marks a key phase for engasertib, aiming at U.S. regulatory approval. Engasertib, an oral allosteric AKT inhibitor, aims to be the first therapy for HHT, a condition without current treatment options. The study will assess its efficacy and safety across North America, South America, and Europe, focusing on moderate-to-severe cases of HHT.
This financing indicates strong investor confidence in engasertib's potential. The new funds are expected to cover operations up to regulatory submission, marking a significant milestone in Vaderis' strategic development path. Key investors reflect diverse industry leadership, enhancing the company's capacity to tackle unmet medical needs.
