Utility Global Appoints Erik Meuleman as CTO for H2Gen Advancement
Utility Global has announced the appointment of Erik Meuleman as Chief Technology Officer. Meuleman, with over 20 years in decarbonization technologies, will focus on commercial deployment of Utility's proprietary H2Gen® technology. Previously, at ION Clean Energy, he improved capital and operational efficiency of carbon capture systems, overseeing a significant expansion of the engineering team.
Before ION, Meuleman contributed to advancements in carbon capture at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation in Australia and separation technologies at the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research. He holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Twente.
Utility Global aims to extend the economic utility of existing assets, reduce emissions, and promote sustainability. With projects across North America, Europe, and Asia, the company sees Meuleman's appointment as pivotal for the next growth phase. Utility Global is backed by Ara Partners, focusing on decarbonizing the industrial economy.
