UraniumX Identifies Pitchblende at Murphy Lake

UraniumX Discovery Corp. has announced promising results from its first drill holes at the Murphy Lake Property in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan. Drill hole ML26-015 detected visually identified pitchblende with anomalous radioactivity up to 460 cps within a 1-meter interval, located just above the unconformity. Associated downhole gamma readings exceeded 500 cps over a 4.3-meter stretch. This suggests the presence of a fertile uranium system.

The pitchblende was found in bedding concordant blebs and nodules, accompanied by typical alteration like bleaching and clay alteration in the sandstone. The ongoing program, directed by F4 Uranium Corp., aims to explore further target areas, with assay results pending from SRC Geoanalytical Laboratories. Murphy Lake's strategic position in the eastern Athabasca Basin, near other notable uranium deposits, underlines its potential importance.
