Unusual Machines, Inc. has completed its acquisition of DroneNX LLC, known as Upgrade Energy, a U.S.-based manufacturer of drone batteries and power systems. This move enhances Unusual Machines' portfolio beyond motors and drone components to include batteries, a crucial element in the drone industry’s supply chain.

The strategic acquisition, first announced in May 2026, aligns with the U.S. push for increased domestic drone production. Unusual Machines plans to scale up operations, hiring more staff and expanding production in California and Florida. Upgrade Energy’s expertise in battery technology is expected to bolster the supply chain and meet growing market demands.
