Uniper and Skyborn Renewables Sign Offshore Wind PPA

Uniper has signed its first offshore wind Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Skyborn Renewables. The agreement involves purchasing 100 MW from the Gennaker offshore wind project, the largest in the German Baltic Sea. Scheduled to start post-commercial operation date, the agreement will last 10 years, with an extension option.

This strategic move aligns with Uniper's goals to enhance its renewables portfolio, boosting energy security and supporting low-carbon generation. The Gennaker project, with a capacity of up to 976.5 MW, aims to power one million households annually, highlighting Skyborn's comprehensive expertise in offshore wind.

Uniper's investment plan of €8 billion aims at strengthening Europe's energy security, industrial competitiveness, and renewable energy generation. By integrating offshore wind, Uniper diversifies its energy sources, enhancing its ability to offer sustainable solutions.
