Ultra-fast Charging Expands at Retail Locations in Germany
MVV, Müller, and ADS-TEC Energy are partnering to expand ultra-fast charging infrastructure across Germany. The Mannheim-based MVV is financing, building, and operating 39 battery-buffered charging stations at 27 Müller retail sites, primarily in the Stuttgart-Ulm area and other regions.
ADS-TEC Energy's technology allows ultra-fast charging even where grid capacity is limited, enhancing the convenience of electric vehicle charging. This initiative supports a sustainable shift in transportation by integrating charging infrastructure in high-traffic retail zones.
Currently, the expansion includes 78 charging points. MVV aims for a seamless and quick charging experience, aligning with Germany’s Building Electromobility Infrastructure Act (GEIG). The sites feature digital displays for advertising, further merging shopping with charging.
