UBS Board of Directors Undergoes Key Changes
UBS AG has announced notable changes to its Board of Directors. Lukas Gähwiler will retire and not seek re-election at the UBS Group AG Annual General Meeting in April 2026. His 45-year career in financial services includes roles such as Chairman of UBS Switzerland AG and Vice Chairman of the UBS Group AG Board.
Colm Kelleher and Sergio P. Ermotti praised Gähwiler's contributions, particularly his role in integrating Credit Suisse into UBS. Following Gähwiler’s departure, Markus Ronner is nominated to become Vice Chairman. Ronner, a long-time UBS employee, has held various leadership roles and is recognized for his expertise in regulation and governance.
The succession plan for Ronner and additional details will be communicated separately. UBS continues to focus on strategic leadership transitions to maintain its growth and stability.
