U-blox Introduces ZED-X20T for Secure GNSS Timing

U-blox, a leader in positioning and communication technologies, unveiled its latest GNSS timing module, the ZED-X20T, designed for critical infrastructure like communication networks and power grids. This module supports dependable synchronization, addressing challenges in distributed systems. It combines nanosecond-level accuracy, advanced security, and resilience.

The ZED-X20T upgrades existing ZED-F9T designs with pin-compatibility. It harnesses all GNSS bands and receives Galileo High Accuracy Service corrections directly, offering timing accuracy better than 2.5 ns under clear skies, or 2.0 ns with corrections. The module is crucial for maintaining trustworthy synchronization.

With security features such as secure boot and interference detection, it enhances timing integrity in demanding environments. The ZED-X20T is available in variants to support different system architectures, with samples expected in December 2026.
