TRATON GROUP Reports Decline in 2025 Sales Amid Weak Market
Munich, January 20, 2026 – The TRATON GROUP, a major player in commercial vehicle manufacturing, faced a challenging market in 2025, leading to a 9% decrease in unit sales compared to 2024. The company sold approximately 305,500 vehicles, down from 334,200 vehicles the previous year. Despite this overall decline, sales of all-electric vehicles saw a significant uptick of 86%, reaching 3,230 units.
Among its brands, Scania Vehicles & Services experienced an 8% drop in sales, heavily impacted by the Brazilian market's rising interest rates and inflation. Conversely, MAN Truck & Bus saw a 6% increase in sales, bolstered by its strong European market presence and improvements in bus and van segments.
International Motors, however, struggled with a 30% sales decline, affected by the US market's uncertainties. In contrast, Volkswagen Truck & Bus posted a slight 1% increase in sales. The TRATON GROUP plans to release its detailed 2025 Annual Report in March 2026.
