TRATON GROUP Reports 6% Decline in Q1 2026 Unit Sales
Munich, April 13, 2026 – TRATON GROUP announced a decrease in unit sales for the first quarter of 2026, recording a total of 68,600 vehicles sold. This marks a 6% decline compared to 73,100 vehicles in the same period last year. Despite the overall drop, sales of all-electric vehicles rose by 38%.
Scania faced a 6% reduction in sales, primarily due to decreased demand in South America, notably Brazil. MAN Truck & Bus, conversely, saw a 14% rise in unit sales, benefiting from strong European orders. International Motors experienced a 21% decline, amidst weak impact from increasing U.S. demand. Volkswagen Truck & Bus reported a 20% decrease, impacted by challenging South American markets.
The TRATON GROUP plans to release its detailed interim statement on April 29, 2026.
