Touchstone Exploration Reports Carapal Ridge-3 Drilling Progress
Touchstone Exploration Inc. has provided an update on its Carapal Ridge-3 (CR-3) development well in Trinidad and Tobago. The well marks the company's first drilling venture into the Carapal Ridge pool in 17 years. CR-3 revealed approximately 1,082 feet of net sand, with 1,000 feet of it comprising hydrocarbon-rich Herrera sand.
The well has shown potential for further development, hinting at three additional wells. Notably, CR-3 established an additional prospect in the Karamat formation, currently under evaluation. The drilling concluded at a depth of 8,200 feet, encountering a thick pay zone above and below a shale marker.
Completion activities are in progress, aiming for integration with the Central block gas facility by Q1 2026. Despite budget overruns, due to managing gas flows from Karamat sands, the well's outcomes have been promising, supporting future development on the site.
