Torq Resources Advances Santa Cecilia Project in Chile
Torq Resources Inc. has announced progress on its Santa Cecilia Project in partnership with Gold Fields Pedernales Limitada. The 2026 drilling program in Chile aims to explore potential areas identified in previous findings, focusing on Pircas Norte and Gemelos Norte. Gold Fields plans to invest USD$48 million to earn a 75% stake in the project, having already secured 10%.
The upcoming exploration valued at approximately USD$11 million will be entirely funded by Gold Fields. Past drilling results at Gemelos Norte confirmed significant copper-gold porphyry deposits, giving a promising outlook for continued exploration. Despite delays due to a workplace fatality and subsequent investigations, Torq remains dedicated to safe and responsible project advancement.
