Structural Complex Unmasked in Drone Survey at Gran Pilar
Tocvan Ventures Corp has revealed initial outcomes from its drone magnetic survey at the Gran Pilar Gold-Silver Project in Sonora, Mexico. The survey unveiled a substantial structural complex in the South Block, promising high-priority drilling and exploration targets. The 224-line kilometer survey aimed to illuminate subsurface formations and potential mineralization areas.
The complex, extending over a 2.0 by 2.5-kilometer zone, displays magnetic signatures suggesting magmatic activity linked to mineralization. This discovery aligns with prior surface geochemistry, which found elevated gold and silver values, including assays up to 21.2 g/t Au and over 2,000 g/t Ag. These findings enhance the potential for epithermal deposits.
The survey data refined existing targets and identified new ones, including extensions to the historic Placer Corridor. Many geophysical anomalies in the east and southeast remain unexplored. Tocvan plans to integrate this data with other geophysical and geochemical information to prioritize drill targets as activities commence.
