Tiryaki Agro and DPFZA Collaborate on Tadjourah Port Development

On July 22, 2026, Tiryaki Agro and the Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority (DPFZA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Istanbul. This agreement marks a significant step towards the development of the Port of Tadjourah, aiming to transform Djibouti into a regional trade and logistics hub.

The MoU outlines a collaborative framework to assess the technical, commercial, and operational aspects of the port's future development. Plans include enhancing infrastructure, expanding logistics capacity, and improving the handling of agricultural commodities, contributing to economic growth in the region.

The partnership builds on the International Finance Corporation (IFC)'s support for Djibouti's strategic role in regional trade. This initiative reflects a shared vision for sustainable growth in the Horn of Africa, emphasizing food security and supply chain resilience.
