Chinese and French Children's Choirs Unite in Paris
The Wuzhishan Li & Miao Children's Choir from Hainan Island, China, visited Paris for a cultural exchange. Nearly 20 choir members participated in performances alongside French counterparts from May 8 to 10, 2025.
On May 9, at Café de la Danse in Paris, around 300 guests attended a performance showcasing the friendship between China and France. The event featured a mix of Chinese and French songs, culminating in the audience clapping along. The program ended with "Auld Lang Syne," leaving a strong impression on attendees.
The collaboration included choirs like Le Choeur des Polysons, highlighting the cultural exchange. Significant performances featured Huang Hailin, a nose flute player from Hainan, and Matthieu Lecoq from the Opéra de Paris.
This event marks the 50th anniversary of China-EU diplomatic ties, emphasizing the cultural connections fostered through music.
