The Platform Group AG Expands into Optician and Hearing Acoustics Market
The Platform Group AG has announced its strategic entry into the optician and hearing acoustics market. With the acquisition of Beste Aussichten GmbH and Karrasch & Nolte GmbH, the company gains control of 30 locations in Germany, employing around 200 staff. This initiative marks the company's first phase in this market.
The acquisition involves share deals with a purchase price in the double-digit million-euro range. The finance is a mix of cash and share compensation. These acquisitions will integrate with The Platform Group's online platform, MyGlasses.
Future expansion includes further acquisitions in Germany and the EU by 2026 and the launch of an external optician platform by the end of 2025. The "Optics & Hearing" segment is projected to generate over EUR 30 million in sales, with an adjusted EBITDA of EUR 8 to 10 million for the 2025 financial year.
