TerraMaster is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its TOS operating system with the global launch of the TOS 7 public beta. Developed over two years by a team of 100 engineers, TOS 7 marks a transformation from a storage tool to a complete private cloud platform. Originally introduced in 2011 as a basic NAS, TOS has evolved into a versatile hub capable of serving as a file server, virtual machine host, and more.

TOS 7 stands out for its open root access and integration of Ubuntu repositories, allowing the installation of various environments and applications. Thanks to its virtual machine module, users can easily deploy different operating systems. Furthermore, online collaboration is facilitated by integrated Office tools, ensuring that data remains local without additional costs.
