TenneT Germany Launches €3.5 Billion Multi-Tranche Green Bond
TenneT Germany has successfully entered the debt capital markets with an inaugural €3.5 billion multi-tranche senior green bond. The issuance, which is a debut for TenneT, comprises four tranches with maturities ranging from 4 to 20 years, with coupons between 3.25% and 4.625% annually. This benchmark transaction adheres to the EU Green Bond Regulation and ICMA Green Bond Principles.
The bond was met with significant investor demand, with an oversubscription of over 6.3 times. This strong interest underscores investor confidence in TenneT's credit profile and strategic role in energy infrastructure. The bonds are part of TenneT’s €35 billion Debt Issuance Programme and will be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, promoting a sustainable financial strategy.
The issuance marks a milestone in TenneT's strategy for independent market access, supporting its extensive investment programs. Key players like BNP PARIBAS, Commerzbank, and Deutsche Bank were instrumental in the bond's structuring.
