Taiwan Startups Forge European Alliances at IFA Berlin 2026

Taiwan Startup Terrace presented 12 startups at IFA Berlin 2026, resulting in several agreements with European firms. The startups focused on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and smart healthcare, showcasing their innovations to over 3,000 visitors. The event led to eight cooperation agreements, emphasizing Taiwan's commitment to establishing a European presence.

Significant partnerships included VMFi, which agreed on deals with Germany's Ryke GmbH and Estonia's TrueTouch AI OÜ, among others, to introduce its translation technology to European markets. Cybersecurity firm Turing Space joined forces with Germany's PolyCrypt and Neuland AI to expand its digital trust solutions across Europe.

Moreover, DeCloak signed an agreement with Poland's MAB Robotics to integrate its image privacy technology with robots. The Taiwanese startups' performances were impressive, with seven reaching the IFA Pitch Battle semifinals, and VMFi advancing to the final.
