SWI Group Forms Strategic Partnership with Brookfield for U.S. Multifamily Expansion

SWI Group has announced a strategic partnership with Brookfield Asset Management involving Varia US Properties AG's multifamily portfolio in the U.S. This new venture includes a USD 693.9 million investment across 13 properties, divided into two joint ventures. The collaboration aims to enhance Varia US's ability to acquire and reposition assets towards a higher-quality portfolio.

The partnership grants access to USD 200 million in equity capital, facilitating future acquisitions and increasing financial flexibility. Out of the 17 properties in Varia's portfolio, 13 will be part of the joint venture, while four will remain fully owned by Varia US.

Max-Herve George, CEO of SWI Group, emphasized the strategic value of partnering with Brookfield to bolster Varia US's focus on high-quality residential communities. This alliance is positioned to capitalize on growth opportunities within the U.S. multifamily sector.
