SUSS MicroTec Ventures into Wafer-Cleaning Market with GreenTec Solutions

SUSS MicroTec SE, a leader in semiconductor equipment, has announced its entry into the wafer-cleaning market by launching the GreenTec Solutions product line and the GT200 system. This move strategically expands their technology into a market valued at approximately €5.4 billion, driven by demands from advanced packaging and semiconductor applications like AI and high-performance computing.

The GreenTec Solutions aim to offer sustainable wafer cleaning, employing less chemicals and eliminating hazardous substances. Key to this innovation are SUSS's TurbulenStrip™ and CrustBuster™ technologies, adapted from photomask processing for enhanced wafer production efficiency.

The GT200 platform supports 200 mm process development, addressing MEMS, RF, Power Device, and CMOS applications. The company plans further growth with a 300 mm high-volume manufacturing platform by 2027.
