SUSS MicroTec Optimizes Production Network Amid Strong Demand
SUSS MicroTec SE is restructuring its global production network to support growth and respond to high order volumes in the semiconductor industry. The company is consolidating its manufacturing activities at its largest sites in Zhubei, Taiwan, and Sternenfels, Germany, to boost scalability and efficiency.
Production will move from Garching to its other two key sites, impacting around 70 employees. Despite these changes, SUSS emphasizes its ongoing commitment to Germany as a center for research, development, and production.
The company anticipates one-time expenses of approximately €6.2 million due to this realignment. This reshuffle will affect its revenue forecast for 2026, now expected at €405-€425 million, down from previous expectations. The EBIT margin guidance is also adjusted to 5%-7%.
